Peter is fond of cars and car races, so his wish to the Genie of Csodalampa was a "Car"-themed LEGO set.

His present reached him on a Friday at the SE Pediatric Clinic at Tűzolto street where he is treated.

Peter did not quite understand what was happening; however, he got excited after noticing the package in my hands. I soon learned the breadth of his knowledge about "Cars".

They left for home quickly to start playing together with the new toy.

Many thanks to the LEGO Manufacturing Kft. for their support!

Noel wished he could visit the Budapest Amusement Park and Budapest Zoo with his father, and spend an amazing day there. After some organization we could fulfill this wish with the help of Fundamenta-Lakáskassza Zrt.

The fun started on a Friday morning in the Theme Park, where Noel tried all the amazing attractions of his interest.
Afterwards we went to the Zoo nearby where the weather was making fun of us as it was raining and we got a bit wet, so we ran into the Gorilla house. We wandered around the park with a roller and with lots of laughing. The house of the lions and "big cats", and the penguins’ residency were our primary destinations.
Meanwhile the fellow-workers of Fundamenta were shooting a video about us to make the day even more memorable. Of courde at the end of our excursion we bought tiny souvenirs to Noel.

We hope we could contribute with an unforgettable day to his life.

Csodalámpa Foundation and the staff of Fundamenta-Lakáskassza Zrt – whose sponsorship made this special wish come true – are wishing all the best to Noel.

Special thanks to Katalin Vojczek and Márton Bock for the organization and their attendance.

Lacika is being treated in Miskolc at the GYEK (pediatric clinic).

He is very active, dancing is his life.
During his treatment he was running around a lot in the hospital as if he wasn`t even ill.

One of his roommates got an XBOX Kinect and he laid an eye on the fancy "tool". Since then, his only desire was to put his hands on one so he also could dance and move in front of the screen.

As the Genie of MAgoc lamp doesn`t know the word "impossible"...

He wouldn`t even want to belive it`s his very own!!
It really has been a breath-taking moment for him when they were unpacking the heavy present with his mother.

Dear Lacika! We wish you cheer and happines in the game. Dance and be active as you wish, but most of all, get better!

Many thanks to the students and teachers of the Thomas Mann Német German School &. Gymnasium of Budapest for granting Laci's wish.

As we got to know Bori’s wish, that she wanted a Barbie ship, we thought this would be easy.

The manufacture of Barbie ship though stopped a long time ago….

After brooding over it a lot and searching on the internet, we have finally managed to get one with all accessories and lots of other additional pieces too among which a barbie boy, Ken, a puppy, its mother with a bone as well as a dog park were the most important.

What is the worth of a Barbie ship without an owner? The genie of Csodalámpa took care of it. Not only a Barbie doll, but a Barbie mermaid was also included in one of the boxes...

Given the size of the ship, we arrived with two huge packages at the university clinic of Tűzoltó street.

The reason for the plural form is that we managed to fulfil this wish with the help of the students of the German School and Thomas Mann High School of Budapest, who were represented by Laura and her mother at the clinic with me.

Bori arrived roller skating on an infusion rack (!) and looked at the huge package wide-eyed…
We did not get her to wait long, but helped her start to open the presents. As she saw the barbie ship, she declared with a big smile that she exactly wanted this Barbie ship.

/ 7

She hardly managed to review all the treasures and Laura’s occasional Barbie expertise was really valuable at the setting up the dog park.

When the infusion was slowly running out and time was flying also while checking all the toys, we left behind a nice Bori with bright eyes in the company of her mother and grandmother so that they could discover together the further secrets of the Barbie ship.

Dear Bori, the members of the Csodalámpa, the students, parents and teachers of the German School and Thomas Mann High School of Budapest, who cooked and baked as part of the „Kuchenbazaar” program to be able to fulfil your wish, wish you a quick recovery.

We thank the students, teachers and parents of the German School and Thomas Mann High School of Budapest for their support on behalf of Bori as well.

Meeting Eszter was a fantastic experience for everyone.

On May 11 we organised a charity run with the participation of parents, teachers and students of the German School of Budapest, where Eszter was also at the start line.
Then the two big boxes containing her eagerly awaited wish appeared. Eszter beamed with joy when she saw the contents.

In reply to our question, who should put together the kitchen for her, she answered the students. Thus it happened that we could again share her joy when she finally became proud owner of her own kitchen.

The most secret of Magdi was a laptop. The young girl has to spend a lot of time in hospitals because of her illness and she needs to stay in bed during treatments.
With the laptop she can watch cartoons or play games, so time spent in the hospital passes faster and is less boring.

Magdi had a big smile on when she saw me in the door of her hospital ward with the laptop. I helped her unpack it and with the first steps and she immediately started watching movies.

Have a lot of fun with the computer, little Magdi!

We met Vivien when her treatment at hospital just has started. So the littlest petshop desired by her so much arrived at the right time.
Thanks to the pets her mood changed immediately and she succeeded in forgetting the treatment, its inconvenience and her discomfort at least for a while.

We wish her good mood and fast recovery.

We thank the students of the German School of Budapest for the fundraising!

The very special wish of Gergő was to meet English-speaking children and to learn English. Let's hear his own words:

Why do you like to learn English?

-I have never think about it. Actually I don’t know. Talking English is funny.

How did students of the American International School of Budapest teach English?

- Playfully. Sometimes on Skype, sometimes face-to-face. For example, it was funny to play the game of “Rock, paper, scissors” in English or “Simon Says ...” circle game or the English name of the word cards showing on Skype. I was interesting to match the words and the pictures in the illustrated Hungarian-English dictionary.

I use the plush wolf – that I got for Christmas - every time when I sit down to watch TV, I take it in my lap. We haven’t played the board game yet, but I would be happy to try it with you...

Why are you interested in meeting children of different nations?

- To make me understand with many nations.

Are the students of the AISB (American International School of Budapest) different from you?

-No, they are not. The only difference is that they can speak many languages.

Have you found anything interesting among the AISB’ students?

- At the international festival I tasted many delicious food and I specially liked the almond- apple pie, which we bought at the Russian stand. Students of the school were happy and they enjoyed dancing. I was most inspired by fun and delicious food.

Could you return their kind attention?

-Yes, I said thank you for hosting me at the festival and for the gifts I had got at their visit.

What do you think the children could learn from you?

- How elaborately I speak, that’s all I can.

Many thanks to the students and teachers of The American International School of Budapest for realising Gergő's wish!

Kinga just came out of the hospital a few days ago, but we already had the opportunity to visit her. She immediately examined the requested pink Hello Kitty bike. She beamed with joy and tried it out right away. We thank the students of the German School of Budapest for the fundraising!

Another dream come true through Magic Lamp and the goodwill of "cooking-fan" adults.

Corinthia Hotel Budapest hosted a special charity cooking event. A small team of Fundamenta-Lakáskassza Building Society were given the chance to get acquainted with the interesting spices and delicious dishes of Indian Cuisine and to support a "Good Cause" at the same time.

The ceremony started with Márta Róna (PR Manger of Corinthia Hotel Budapest) and Márta Felkai (on behalf of Magic Lamp) greeting the participants.
The highlight of the evening was, of course, when the little crew handed over their present to Nandi, who was overjoyed to try his new instrument to entertain the audience.

Nándi has been playing the piano for years, but his dream was to learn how to play the saxofon. The instrument however is very expensive and Nándi’s family could not afford it.

After that the hotel's representatives invited the guests for a nice walk around the Hotel. They were shown the beautiful ballroom, the Presidential Suite and the Spa Center. At the end of the tour Nándi and his parents had to go back to the hospital where his medical treatment takes place, and the exciting cooking could begin.

/ 3

With the guidance of the chefs, Péter Bolyki and Lucas Patole from India, the participants learnt special cooking practices while preparing their own delicious dinner. The first item on the menu was "Mango Lassi", followed by the preparation of the vegetable stuffing. Some were getting busy and some still needed to warm up during the preparation of the buttered chicken, but everyone took part in the preparation of the pasta of Samosa. The team ate what they cooked, and everybody had a wonderful time.

We would like to thank the management of the Corinthia Hotel Budapest and the support of the Fundamenta-Lakáskassza team for participation and their support.

Three excited girls were waiting for me at the Liszt Ferenc Airport on 05th 04. 2013 in the early hours. There was a common contact among them: their dream was to visit Eurodisney. And this wish seems to be granted. Their mums came of course with their daughters. In our company there was a kind doctor, too. We have become a very good team!!

The girls were afraid of flying, but there was no problem, the flight was very pleasant. The captain promised the girls to visit the cockpit after landing. The girls took a seat in the captain’s chair, which they enjoyed very much. A lot of photos were taken of course.
The next surprise was the TGV. It took to get the train to Disneyland 10 minutes. The distance was 32km. It was great to see, how fast the trees were „running” beside the train.

How great was the astonishment, when the group caught sight of the hotel! Our comfortable rooms were on the ground floor so the doors of the rooms overlooked a very large park in the middle with a lake. The little girls ran from one room into the other of course through the park and they told us about their experiences.

And the main attraction was itself the Disneyland Park. The little team could not get over the astonishment when we arrived to the main gate. They could not say any words for any seconds. A row of photos were taken naturally.

After entering the park the children could not choose among the big varieties of great number of entertainment possibilities. We agreed that I will spend the Friday afternoon with Luca and her mother. My Saturday morning belonged to Dia and her mother, and I was with Lotti and her mother together on Saturday afternoon.

The girls tried out almost every switchback; they rode saddle horse, travelled by coach, by boat, by ship, by small railway around the Disneyland. Lotti flew more times by spaceship, too. The Ghost Palace and Aladdin and the Magic Lamp could not be left out. The great Show was fantastic!!! Favourite fairy heroes were marching through the Main Street. Photos could be taken about them and with them, as well, our children asked for signatures from them.

Luca, her mum and our doctor went for a short excursion to Paris, where they visited the Notre Dame, too.

Our little group came back to the hotel every evening filled up with experiences. The girls forgot their illness, they enjoyed every moment being in Disneyland.

They all grateful to Magic Lamp Foundation for these three fantastic days!!

Many thanks for their support to grant Diana's wish to Eurodisney, Bunge Növényolajipari Zrt. and Földgázszállító ZRt.

The long - awaited smile...

The 15 years old Nóri’s life is recently about her illness and its treatments. Nowadays the hospital is her second “home” till she gets better.

Nóri’s wish from the Wishing Lamp was to go to a ‘One Direction’ concert. She listens to the band’s songs when she has time and her room is full of posters about them. If I would like to know something about the group, it’s the best to ask her, because her knowledge of them is endless. It came to our attention that the band is about to give a huge show at the O2 Arena in London after Easter. The foundation’s team – with helpful supporters – immediately organized that Nóri could be there. Although her health was in question till the last day. She got the final permission for the trip in the very last minute – the day before departure.

So the next day, we were on our way to London. It was a matter of hours, and Nóri found herself in the busy and rainy city of London. On the day before the concert, we got to visit the famous Hyde Park and we saw the city from the London Eye, and of course we couldn’t miss out the Double Decker and the fish and chips.

When the big day of the concert arrived, Nóri was waiting for the program cheerfully. We even got to take a photo of her - which she doesn’t like usually – but this was a special day. In the last minutes before the show, Nóri was waiting for her favourites with thousands of other fans. This was the time when we saw real joy and a huge smile on her face!

Thanks to our helpful supporters, and doctors for making this dream become true and aiding us to bring back a long anticipated smile.

We are grateful for the generous support of the Provident Pénzügyi Zrt!!!

It was a bright sunny afternoon when we arrived at the nice and modest house of Mark's family in Devecser. The 13 year old boy was touched when he caught sight of us.

When Mark saw us with the large package, he could hardly believe that his wish had come true with the help of the Magic Lamp Foundation. That day Mark became a happy owner of a computer and its accessories. The PC opens window to the world, and this gift will also help Mark in his studies.

Sharing in your joy and wishing you good health.

Budapest Week Publishing sponsored the granting of this wish with the proceeds of the tombola of their 2013 Valentine's Day Gala.

We would like to express our sincere thanks in the name of Mark too, to the generous guests of the Gala and the management of our long time suppoter Budapest Week Publishing.

The first time I met Vilmos at the Tűzoltó street Pediatric Clinic he told me, he had a laptop. He told me that it was lent to him and his great wish would be to have an own "machine" that was only his.

He asked wether Csodalámpa could grant his wish... I told him that I think so, but he must probably wait a bit, until a sponsor or donor turns up.

His wish was granted in his home - hopefully the pictures can show his joy.

Many thanks for fulfilling Vilmos's wish to the mangement and colleagues of Horváth & Partners DLA Piper Law Offices and the management of Hilton Budapest Hotel.

The 9-year old Márk loves music, and plays the piano very well already. His dream was to have his own synthesizer, so he can practice at home.

When we showed up at the home of his family, on a dreary January Sunday afternoon, with a huge box, to surprise Márk, he knew right away why we were there. He was watching us with a big smile on his face, as we carried his present into the room, and excitedly brought a pair of scissor to open the box.

Our timing was perfect, he explained, because his piano exam is coming up at the end of January, and he still has a lot of practicing to do. In a few minutes the synthesizer was set up, and Márk wasted no time to try it out. He played us two of his favourite songs. It was fantastic to see, how happy he was. Unfortunately there was no time for more, we had to leave.

We would like to say a very special thank you to Captain Zsolt Deák, for making Márk's wish come through.
