We met with Marci in a hospital where he had just arrived for the control.

Marci quickly stopped playing when he saw the big box. Marci excitedly tore off the packaging and then just stood surprised for a few seconds without saying a word. Then he showed his parents and sibling those many parts belonged to Playmobil’s Knights Empire Castle.

Marci was really afraid that he would have to stay in the hospital, but we managed to convince him that he would certainly not, otherwise who would take that big castle home.

Viki wished for a red digital camera. We have asked the jinn and the wish – like in all other cases – came true.

We quickly agreed with her mother to visit them and we brought the present to Viki the same day afternoon. The kind and pretty young girl opened the package and was very happy about it. She tried the camera immediately.

We have spent a pleasant afternoon with this very kind family.

Dear Viki!
We wish you good health and lots of photos!

Emese has learned playing guitar since 2004, no wonder that she has asked for an "really good" acoustic guitar from the Genie of Wonderlamp Foundation. As she has said she had only a battered simple guitar, that she has played sometimes in the hospital to help her forget those difficult days…

The treatments have recently ended, she can go to school and can carry on with her guitar lessons. She thought that for the new lessons a new guitar would suite better...

So we went to Szentendre, a beautiful old, little town north of Budapest. The pretty and smiling "big" girl could hardly believe that the big black jig bag at her door hides her dream. She took out the guitar carefully caressed it with her fine fingers and said:

-...it’s beautiful!!

The first "shock" of surprise gone she behaved like a pro: adjusted the tuning and played a few melodic songs for us.
She has told us, that sometimes she writes songs as well, so I asked her - maybe - to write a Wonderlamp song? Well we shall see…

Anyway we wish Emese a complete recovery, lots of joy and hapiness to you and through your music to your friends and family!

Emese’s wish has been granted from the donation of the pupils and teachers of the British International School of Budapest. Thank you for your support!

Emese is playing guitar already for 4 years, it is no wonder she asked a guitar from djinn of the Csodalámpa. She asked a special guitar, an acoustic one. Up to now she had a simple guitar she used in the hospital to play for the children to forget hard days together.

Emese is already over the main part of the treatments and can go to school and take guitar lessons. Only one surprise was missing, a brand new guitar.

Let’s go to Szentendre where Emese is living. The smiling, full of eyes girl almost didn’t want to believe her dream comes true. She took the guitar carefully; her eyes were laughing and said it is wonderful. She started to play the guitar as a professional.

Emese revealed that sometimes she also composes music. I asked her to write music for Csodalámpa, we would be happy to hear these songs.

We wish you to make yourself, your family and friends lots of fun with your guitar and your music.

Emese’s wish has been granted from the donation of the pupils and teachers of the Budapesti Angol Nemzetközi Iskola.

Thank you for your support!

Bálint was already very excited when I asked him whether I was in the right ward if I was looking for Bálint. As soon as he got a glimpse of the large box he started to crow with delight and kept on asking: what is in it, what is in it?

Certainly he had to see it for himself so the wrapping disappeared in pieces within a few seconds and the beautiful, portable DVD player emerged from its hiding-place with the help of mommy.

Mommy was prepared of course and we put the favourite CD into the player and the ward was filled with Christmas music, since this is Bálint’s favourite. Nurses also hurried to the ward to see the reason for the gaiety, Bálint was singing loudly and exclaimed happily:

- Thank you! Thank you!

All of us who were part of this event rejoiced with him.

God bless you all! – Bálint’s grandmother said good-bye gratefully.

Laci takes the secondary school as a private pupil. If he goes well he can also go to school and attend lessons. He likes machines and motors.

His wished to learn car driving. He could start the lessons for the rules of the road and first aid training in November and he passed this part successfully.

He had a little break in his study as he had to participate on treatments and examinations…
Early February he could already attend the practical lessons, he tried city driving.

If everything is all right he will attend the exam on Thursday (19.02.2009).
We wish you, Laci good success.

Today Fanni came back just for medical check and she didn’t expect that she’d have a surprise.

She opened the huge package excitedly, which had been packed by the sponsor carefully in order that the electric piano not gets injured.

As it turned out what hides the package, she gave us a little ad-lib concert very happily.

Her mother told us that since the treatments are over she has piano lessons and now she can exercise even at home and perhaps compose some music.

Acquiring the remote controlled railway started with serious constitution, in which the team of Régió toy-shop helped us a lot as we could obtain the toy by the help of them.

We had to select among more models – it caused quite a lot hesitating which one Laci thought of – then we selected one of them.

In the Tűzoltó Street Hospital the whole family was waiting for our arrival.

The huge box was opened during some moments and by the help of Laci’s father they were building the tracks and assembled the remote control. Meanwhile Laci was looking the engine and the wagons.

-It’s the railway what I’ve wanted! – shouted Laci happily.

His mother explained to us that Laci saw this railway at an exhibition and he really loved exactly this one.

Laci was so happy, he was pushing the remote control – this caused a little upset in the railway traffic but fortunately, everything was all right, the engine was rolling on the tracks and Laci was very happy.

We had a nice evening.

Little Máté adores trains and locomotives. We thought he would be happy to drive on with a little help.

When we arrived to Hűvösvölgy at the last stop of the „Children’s Railway” Mate was curiously looking around. With his Grandpa they took on an old locomotive immediately. After they looked around in the erecting shop, meanwhile the motorman turned on the most beautiful locomotive for them.

Mate was a little bit afraid when they got on the locomotive with his Mummy, but he settled very easily with the help of Mr. Vinish who is one of the leader and trainer of “Children’s Railway”. Then they were off to go to Wonderland… When they got back from the journey, Marci got his second surprise. He had a chance to drive the railcar with a real professionalism now, taking his Mum and Grandpa with him.

So what could be the award for this little brilliant locomotive engineer? A Thomas locomotive and a suiting plotting board, because you can not drive a locomotive all the time, can you?

Thank you for the support of the Children’s Railway, Mate’s dream could not come true without them.

He was very happy because he did not know that besides of the unpleasant medical control he will have such a surprise on that day.

He dressed up immediately, but he did not play with the ball. He promised he will put it on his shelf as a precious gift…

Boglárka is a 5 year-old young lady who goes to an archery course with her Dad.

She would like to receive a spiral bow which she can use and practice anytime she wants. Luckily we found a beautiful blue spiral bow for her size.

We gave this to her when she was in the play house, just at the right time! She was really surprised and very happy about this.

Dear Boglárka, we wish you good health and luck in archery!

Marci is 11 years old today. He came out of the sterile transplantation box 4 weeks ago. His dream was to fly on his birthday.

We started to organise it immediately, but we have very limited time. On that morning it was heavily raining in Miskolc, but our God and voluntary chaplain and was with us…

By 4 pm our Csodalampa team from Miskolc was there dressed in the Csodalampa shirt. We brought a book about flying, a cake, firework and number 11. We were waiting for Marci and his Dad. They arrived but Marci still did not realise that he will fly.

/ 8

They took off and we waved to them.
The plane flew towards the hospital where Marci were. On the balcony nurses waved to Marci who was driving the plane alone.

They flew towards Marci’s house and his Mom, sister and brothers waved at him. When they got back to the airport Marci received the cake and the book and also a birthday singing.

He was really touched and he could hardly say:

- Thank you!

But in this single word and in his sparkling eyes there was everything we needed to know how he felt. :))

The dream of an adolescent boy

It happened like that, Dani who has already tried some sports but swimming has dropped out of his life up till now.

And then suddenly he gets swimming lessons from an excellent coach in the swimming pool.

The boy who’s up till now just till ankle ventured to go into the water enjoys this kind of movement. It didn’t show that he missed some lessons because of summer holiday.

It was good to see this pair, coach and pupil, among jumping and dabbling children around them. The devoted training of aunt Eszter and Dani’s application can be exemplary for a lot of us.

We’ll never forget that smile when the coach lauded Dani at the end of the movement-rows.

Dear Dani, we wish you a lot of power and insistence to full recovery and we also wish all of your dreams come true!

It was Roxana's old dream, which came true by Csodalámpa in the past day. We gave her the laptop she wished in the Children's Hospital in Miskolc.

We received Roxana's wish though the Internet, she placed it on our website with the help of her mother. She'd never hoped that it would take such a short time to our foundation to make her wish come true.

She looked us with real enthusiasm in her eyes while the box was handed over to her and when she took out the laptop from it she screamed: My wish came true! So soon! I wouldn't have believed it!

Roxana spends lots of time in the hospital that's why she thought such equipment would help her to kill time.

She told us that from next year on she will have IT lessons in the school and she will be able to practise for the lessons as all her classmates who has a PC at home.

We hope this computer will give lots of happy moments to Roxana and we wish all the best to her.

Dear Csodalámpa Foundation!

Thank you for the wonderful 3 days I could spend with you in the Zoo, Fun Park, and Tropicarium and in Aquarius Hotel.

When we arrived to the Hotel everybody was very kind and even got a surprise in the room full of fruits and cookies. There was a swimming pool and a Jacuzzi and they kept asking me every time I went to the hall if I need anything.

On the first day we went right into Tropicarium. It was unforgettable to see those animals so close, it was a good fun, we did not realise how quick time went on.Back to the Hotel we went to the Jacuzzi!

The second day was full of surprises, I knew we were going to the Zoo, but what happened there I could hardly believe! Besides that every animal were beautiful, I became the stepfather of two leopards. It was a great surprise because I love cats! I got a certificate and a short description of the two leopards about their birth place, name etc…I would even have to go to a school meting.

When we finished in the Zoo I thought we go back to the Hotel, but uncle Sanyi told me there is more to go and what if we go to the Fun Park. I was delighted! I tried everything which suited my age but I like the roller coaster the most! Evening time we went back to the Hotel where we were offered a three course dinner. This was offered by the Hotel together with the breakfast.

On the third morning I was sad to say good-by to auntie Kriszta the director of the Hotel, we had to leave before 11 am. We were on the way home, when suddenly we stopped by the McDonalds front of Campona. I did not know about this either! I was allowed to go to the kitchen and prepare two cheeseburgers. We had lunch and went home.

Really, really thank you for Csodalámpa Foundation to made my wish come true and even beyond that…I will never forget this!

I met Zsolt first in the Clinic in Bokay Street. This 13 year-old boy was sitting front of a big bowl of cherry and nibbled it.

After my introduction of Csodalampa Foundation his eyes were kindled and asked if he could wish for anything…Next time I saw her he wanted to fly in a balloon. And then things started to get a shape. A gentleman came to us and on behalf of his company he gave help to make this dream come true.

To fly with a balloon depends on many things: Budapest Airport should give permission, there has to be a good wind; so we chose several dates for the possible travel. First time when everything came together, Zsolt got ill and went to the hospital.

For the second time Zsolti was still in the hospital, but because he was ok on the 7th of August with a medical attendance we went to Lake Velence to take off.

As a surprise ha had a bath in the Lake; got some ice-cream, chips and sandwich; then he even ride on a horse. He enjoyed it very much, only if dogs were not there…

After horse riding we met the organiser at a nearby petrol station and went together to the landing place. In here they blow up the balloon and it was time to go. Zsolt and his Mom and Doctor Sallay were on the balloon as well. Zsolti was not afraid at all, he was bit tired in the end.

On the way home Zsolti was listing the things he enjoyed the most many times.

In this way he could face the operation a bit easier next day. At that time we did not know that Zsolt will have kidney transplantation soon. The operation went well and Zsolti is in a good condition.

We wish you to get better!

We entered to the hospital room with a big smack of Indi’s superb whip.

Béla was surprised when he got the whip for first… the Lego of Indiana Jones was in such a big box he could hardly hold it when we put it on his bed…

He started to look at the photos, and only because of our encouragement he finally opened the boxes. We were all very excited to know what is inside the box. The precious gifts were unrevealed one by one, putting together a film set altogether (Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) – very exciting!

There was a book and a set of card as well included, and Béla opened the book and flicked through the card with big amusement.

Her Mom said that Lego is one of his favourite, he collects them and this piece was missing.

The next coming days’ treatments will be a bit easier to take…

During her stay in the hospital Martina always zapped between the channels until she found a film about the nature and the life of the oceans.

This gave her the idea to pick up shells on a beautiful seaside.
Thanks to the Csodalámpa Alapítvány Martina’s dream came true and she could visit Corfu with here family.

She could collect shells and stones from the beautiful Ion sea.

Her medical state allowed her to swim in the water. She returned from the world of the sea full with adventures, sun tented and with a huge smile on her face.

We would like to express our thanks to Csodalámpa Alapítvány for this unique week we spent on Corfu.
