Alex had been waiting three years for his wish to come true. He loves nature and wildlife so he asked us if we could take him to Norway to see the fjords.

This was before the Covid restrictions, and since then Alex has gone through a lot of challenges, but he waited patiently for his dream to come true.

We prepared for the trip with great excitement, but organizing the trip was a challenge at its best. We aimed to start our trip at a fairy-tale-beautiful small town of Bergen, as we knew that countless boats leave from here every day for shorter and longer fjord tours.

Alex had the first surprise still in Budapest: thanks to our supporter, Wizzair, he could visit the cockpit checked the plane from the outside with the captain and in between got lots of interesting information about flying. Plus he got as a present a small Airbus from the crew.

We visited Mostraumen and Flam among the many possibilities; the first tour almost took us back to the age of the Vikings. We sailed between high mountains falling into the water and saw many waterfalls, and on the second trip, we stopped in several small villages and admired the beauty of the Norwegian landscape. This trip lead us into Sognefjord that is one of the longest fjord in the world.
During the trip, we also learned that this is the deepest fjord in the world, about 400 meters deep. The landscape was incredible, many birds accompanied us on our way, which made Alex extra happy as he loves birds.

In addition to sailing, we also had the opportunity to walk around the small village of Flam, even collect pebbles from the stream, and take many beautiful photos of the diverse landscape. You could almost bite the clean air and all the peace that flowed from the mountains, I believe that it will give him a lot of strength on his road to recovery.

During our short visit, we also had the opportunity to go for a walk in Bergen, that lies between the sea and mountains; we took the elevator up the mountain, and from there we could enjoy the beauty of the surrounding landscape as part of a several-hour walking tour.

I am sure that this trip will be a lifelong experience for Alex, and will give him the strength to be completely healthy as soon as possible.

Special thanks to our sponsors, Wizz Air Hungary Ltd, the captain and crew of our flights, the MVM Energetikai Zrt, our numerous private sponsors,
including the employees of Vak Varjú Restaurant for their donation, Magic Lamp supporters who participated at our charity dinner this June, the donors on INLOCK Kripto platform and Dr. Jenei Tiborné, for making Alex's dream come true. Many thanks to Zsuzsa and Gábor representing the Hungarian community in Bergen, that they made this magical trip even more beautiful with their kindness. We would like also thank the Marriott Hotel Budapest for their help with the hotel reservation.

It would have been much more difficult without you!
