Zalán came for a scheduled control to the Child Health Center between two treatments - that day started just like any other…
He didn’t expect that a surprise was waiting for him: the laptop, which was a great desire for him, arrived on that same day.

The boy was really happy when I was getting closer to him with a big box in my hand and said that it was for him.

He was surprised and asked: - What is in it?
- Open it! – I replied.
- Is it the laptop?! – He asked.

... and Zalán started to unpack the box.

It was a great pleasure to watch the pale face of the teenager became more red and lively as he was unpacking the box.
- I wouldn’t have believed it! – he said after seeing what was in the box.
He was extremely happy, I could see that from his face. A real, manly laptop! – He said repeatedly and showed it to the nurses, doctors who were coming by.

Rikárdó wished to have a laptop: unfortunately, he spends a lot of time in the hospital and it is important for him to not to fall behind in his studies. Thanks to this laptop, it will be easier for him to keep up with his classmates.

He was really happy when Ádám, representing BlackRock Budapest, handed the laptop over and helped to set it up, but it turned out quickly Rikárdó is just doing fine on his own.

She was really happy when Ádám, representing BlackRock Budapest, handed the laptop over and helped to set it up. Meanwhile, Regina was talking about herself: we got to know a charming little girl. The clock was ticking fast, so we had to leave unfortunately.

Tomi and his father arrived to the FirstMed clinic excitedly: obviously not because of his illness, but because of the fulfillment of his wish...

Our group and the treating doctor of Tomi, Dr. Judit Müller, were waiting for them. Despite Tomi knowing that he will receive a laptop, we were deeply touched seeing his joy.

When I asked him what would he be using the laptop for, he immediately replied: I’m going to study with it what electricians do.

We hope that after his recovery he will be able to learn and practice his chosen profession with the help of our gift.

Máté, as most of his age group, likes to stay in his room, sit at his desk, play computer games and keep in touch with his friends.

He thought that these times could be more enjoyable in a comfortable gamer chair and we tried to fulfill his wish as soon as possible.

The present arrived as a real surprise for him, Máté assembled the gamer chair happily and has been using it ever since for his favorite activities.

Zsombor desired a "sit and ride" toy car; therefore, we surprised him with it after his long hospital treatment.

The little boy was really glad with his new toy. According to his parents, he drives his new car as a big boy every time the weather allows it: accelerating, braking, taking turns, driving carefully as a good chauffeur.

We wish him a lot of joyful moments with carefree playtime.

Zétény has a serious illness, he has come to the hospital with his mother for a medical checkup. I have told neither of them that his present had arrived. I have thought that it would be a bigger surprise this way.

We finished the measurement of body weight and blood pressure quickly. I didn’t say a word during these tests either. After these necessities, I delivered his super machine, Zétény was asking for, an electronic scooter.

He was really surprised his wish was fulfilled so quickly and opened the box immediately. We assembled the electronic scooter and I let him try it as well. He was speeding on the corridor of the hospital with a huge smile on his face. Afterwards, he handed me the scooter and I enjoyed the situation just like Zétény.

The family is really grateful and thankful for everybody who helped in any way.

The 11-year-old Roland wanted a laptop from Magic Lamp. He has to spend a lot of time in the hospital, and the laptop will help to keep in touch with his family, friends, and classmates. Doing his homework and assignments will be easier, too.

We visited Roland in the hospital with Helga Palfi from BlackRock Budapest. He was very very happy and excited when Helga gave him the big box. Helga also helped him with setting up the machine and installed an antivirus program right away. In the meantime, Roland admitted to us, that of course, he is looking forward to installing some games on his new laptop.

The 16-year-old György Márton wanted a laptop from Magic Lamp. He has to spend a lot of time in the hospital, and the laptop will help to keep in touch with his family, friends, and classmates. Barnabás had been wanting a laptop for a long time. Now, that he has to spend a lot of time in the hospital, he was especially happy that Magic Lamp would make his secret dream come true. We surprised the teenager in the Tuzolto Street Children's Hospital. This time Anna Erdelyi from BlackRock played the genie. When Barni saw the charming young smiling lady, I am not sure what surprised him more- that such pretty and young genies exist, or the big box that she was holding. Very happy and slightly embarrassed, he gave her a big thank you kiss to Anna. It all happened so quickly that it was impossible to catch this sweet moment on camera.

The box was opened quickly, and there it was, the very elegant black laptop. Anna helped Barnabás to set up the machine. It turned out that he was quite an expert, too, and soon the two youngsters were deeply immersed in a serious discussion.

By the time everything was set up, Barni got tired. So we said goodbye to him and told him not to worry, the laptop still will be beside his bed when he wakes up the next morning.

Sanyika is a chatterbox, an exuberant little boy. He is most interested in cars. He has a lot of cars at home and he brings in his favorite ones to the hospital as well, when he comes for a treatment, to play with them. When he attended one of these treatments, I read the Aladdin and the Magic Lamp story for him, while his mother was speaking with the doctors.

He paid close attention to the tale and was watching the pictures in the storybook. At the end of the story, I asked him what his wish would be from the genie in case he had one. He replied immediately:

‘I would like a car, which we can use with my little brother together, has a light and sound in the color of black’ – said Sanyika explicitly.

The genie, as so many times in the past, has heard this wish as well and has taken the battery car to the home of Sanyika, in Kerecsend.

The pleasure was great when the black car with two seats, lights and sound was unpacked from this huge box. The whole family shared this joy with Sanyika.

He and his brother immediately tried this ‘miracle car’ – as Sanyika said.

This Tuesday has started the same way for Nóri as those days when she has to go to a medical check-up.

Today her doctor was looking forward to this morning, since she already knew that today is the big day: the day of Nóri’s wish fulfillment.

We showed up unexpectedly with a red bag of Csodalámpa in the playing room, where she and her parents were waiting.

Even at that time, Nóri didn’t think that her wish would be fulfilled. Her joy was great when she noticed the gift. She took a seat at the table and was already getting familiar with her laptop. We are grateful for this new experience!

Gergő has desired a serious smart phone for a long time. When he heard that the genie of Csodalámpa was able to fulfill his dream, he did and did not believe at the same time that true miracles do exist.

The boy was waiting patiently and he was really surprised when we visited him at the hospital. When he heard the name ‘Csodalámpa’, his eyes were shining, he smiled at me and asked: ‘Have you really brought the smart phone I was asking for from the genie?’. ‘I have, for sure!’ – I replied. I handed over the box containing his dream. Gergő unpacked the elegant, big-screen phone and held it tight happily.

After he got over the initial surprise, he turned on the phone, selected the Hungarian language in the menu and started to set everything up professionally. Meanwhile, he told us when the treatment is over, his father takes him to caress a real bear and now he can capture this moment on his own phone.

Be clever, Gergő! Smile at the bear nicely, maybe then he will wave you back so you can take really impressive pictures with your professional phone.

Enikő has been through a serious disease; however, she is living her usual, normal life for a while now.

She got stronger, so with the permission of her doctors, she asked for a court trampoline from Csodalámpa, on which she can jump around happily both alone or with her sibling.

She couldn’t wait for her father to be done with the assembling. The weather favored us as well, so the light-hearted playing finally started in their garden.

Surprisingly for a 4-year-old boy, Matyi constantly helps his mother in the kitchen.

It was a great delight when he saw his gift, a fully equipped toy kitchen, which was assembled by his parents in secret as a total surprise.

He stood in front of the counter confidently and started to cook and prepare drinks immediately, which had to be tasted by us, adults.

It was good to be a part of this blissful moment again.

Many thanks to the students, parents and teachers of the American International School of Budapest and to our private supporters for giving such a joy to Matyi.

Máté had to spend a lot of time at the hospital this year, his condition has worsened.
We spent a lot of time talking about the Magic Lamp Wish Granting Foundation and in the end he decided to wish for a smart TV.

We discussed or "secret action" with his mother, that the next time he has to come in for a control examination, we will surprise Máté with the TV. I of course asked his mother te keep everything secret...

They came to our department on Monday.
Máté was quite sad and hungry as he thought he was to give blood sample again. I told him I needed to pop out just for a moment and that he should wait for me here. Then I brought back a huge package...

He was extremely glad when he saw it. I have never seen him this happy. He was struggling with tears, just like his mother.

Marci had sent a quite unusual wish for us. He wanted to meet with Stefano Conia luthier master in Cremona. It is the city of violin and viola making.

Marci is playing the viola for years now, and on a rare kind as his instrument has only three strings wich is usually used for folk music. He told us that Mr Conia moved to Cremona in 1945 with his family and they’re living there since then.

Mr Conia instantly said yes to our request, he even prepared a bunch of programmes for Marci.

Firstly, we went to the famous luthier school of Cremona, the Istituto Proffesionale Statale Internationale Liutario E Del Legno ANTONIO STRADIVARI. The deputy School Director and the School Director helped us through the georgeous building. We could look into the different rooms with restaurations, special instruments and how they are made. We even saw a really valuable one, it once belonged to Esterházy family.

All of the rooms were fascinating, we didn’t even know where to look first. Students from all over the world come here to master this profession.

After seeing the school, Master Conia took us to his workshop where we met his son who is following his father’s path. Lots of intruments were being prepared that time, Marci was amused by all of them. On the following days we visited the workshop several times because Marci wanted to take a look in the process of making an instrument. They even let him help even though it was really riskful, as an instrument like this costs around EUR 10-12.000. but he managed to do it correctly.

It this few days we had time to visit the Stradivari Museum and for the last day we could listen to a beautiful concert.

Its impossible to write down this unforgettable few days and I’m sure this memory will help the healing process.

The little girl is very excited about her new room, and now her long-lasting dream may come true as she is going to be a happy owner of a bunk bed with slide.

Her dad has already fit the bed’s parts together.
Dorka was quite speechless when I arrived, but a bit later she cheerfully showed me how to slide down from the bed.

Dorka, we hope that you will have lots of joyful moments in this gift-bed!!

Szabi has to spend a lot of time in the hospital, unfortunately.
What he likes the most is playing with his mom and watching cartoons. He wished for a tablet so he can watch his favourite cartoons any time.

We surprised him in the hospital with the tablet. He was a bit reserved when we handed him the tablet, but we could detect a slight smile in the corner of his mouth. His mom set up the tablet quickly, and Szabi's eyes lit up when he saw his favourite characters appear on the screen.

Overwhelmed by the selection, he could not decide which cartoon he wanted to watch first.

We left him there, immersed in the beautiful world of fairy tales. Hopefully, he will spend many happy hours watching his favourite stories.

Jázmin thought she has a control appointment with her doctor on this day. I teamed up with her mother so we could surprise her. When I arrived, I saw hopelessness in her eyes, es she thought something was wrong. I didn’t want her to worry so I quickly gave her the smartphone she asked for.

It surprised her even though she knew something was happening. Then she just smiled and she was so grateful, she just hugged me for minutes. Her happyness was indescribable.

She thanked everyone who helped, with her wish coming true.
