I have entered the Irongirl 6K race at the urging of a dear girlfriend. with my friend's urging.
I never heard about the race let alone ran before. In fact I disliked running. But after signing up, I have seriously started training for the race. Before I was able to run a meagre 400 meters but now I can do 7 kilometers. A full marathon is still far away but I have fallen in love with running for several reasons. As a mom it is difficult for me to schedule time for regular physical activity. But running works for me, I can do it anywhere anytime. Actually I became a running ambassador for a similar reason. As a mom, I cannot imagine anything sadder and more harrowing than our children falling ill. In such situations every little help matters!
